Martha McSally, Arizona; Cory Gardner, Colorado; David Perdue, Georgia; Joni Ernst, Iowa; Mitch McConnell, Kentucky; Susan Collins, Maine; Thom Tillis, North Carolina; Lindsey Graham, South Carolina; John Cornyn, Texas.

First thing’s first.

Tell us you’re all in to defeat these 9 Republicans.

If you live in one of the nine target states, we’ll get you plugged into the most powerful ways you can take action on your home turf. If you don’t, we’ve still got plenty for you to do to help voters defeat these nine Trump enablers (think: texting and building capacity to win). We need everyone for this fight.

A picture of a newspaper with full page text, 75% of voters wanted impeachment witnesses. Cory Gardner voted for a coverup. Get angry. Then, get even. Join us: payback project.org

We’re running a newspaper ad to call out one of the Payback Project Republicans for their impeachment trial coverup. You decide where.

Get angry.
Then, get even.

Yes, we could just set our sights on canceling Cornyn, or getting rid of Graham, or trashing Tillis, or ejecting Ernst, or sending Perdue packing, but after years of Senate Republicans enabling Trump and destroying democracy, we have to do more.

Realtalk: Defeating this many Senate Republicans will not be easy -- it will take a massive awareness campaign to expose the truth of their complicity to voters and a growing grassroots army on the ground ready to ensure their Democratic opponents have the funding and people necessary to knock doors, activate voters, and win. We have a comprehensive, four-pronged approach to make sure Republicans Senators are held accountable for their actions, their votes, and their enabling of Donald Trump.

Payback Project

Targets.

Martha McSally in black and white with a red outline.

Martha McSally

Arizona | Trump Score: 95.3%

Despite being rejected by Arizona voters in 2018, McSally rode a gubernatorial appointment into the Senate and has spent every day since refusing to do her job. Now, instead of representing Arizonans, she spends her days in office covering for the Trump administration and complaining about constituents.

Cory Gardner in black and white with a red outline.

Cory Gardner

Colorado | Trump Score: 89.3%

Few senators have as much open contempt for their constituents as Cory Gardner. He refuses to meet with voters, and instead focuses on avoiding the ire of the Trump team in the hope that the president—not Coloradans—will carry him to victory this year.

David Perdue in black and white with a red outline.

David Perdue

Georgia | Trump Score: 94.4%

We have a Donald Trump in the Senate, and his name is David Perdue. Perdue has committed himself to acting as the president’s proxy in Congress, and has been a very effective representative for the White House—but not Georgia.

Joni Ernst in black and white with a red outline.

Joni Ernst

Iowa | Trump Score: 91.3%

Is it bad to ask a foreign power to investigate a political opponent? Joni Ernst doesn’t care! The Iowa Senator is particularly unconcerned with the rule of law when it comes to Donald Trump. Instead, she would rather spend her days in office voting to take away health care or create tax cuts for billionaires. Who needs oversight and accountability? Not Joni, apparently.

Mitch McConnell in black and white with a red outline.

Mitch McConnell

Kentucky | Trump Score: 93.9%

Mitch McConnell has one goal: stay in power. To do so, he’s broken our democratic institutions, exploited partisanship, and made protecting Trump his top priority. If Washington corruption has a face, it’s his.

Susan Collins in black and white with a red outline.

Susan Collins

Maine | Trump Score: 67%

Susan Collins’ self-serving political calculus gave us Brett Kavanaugh, the tax scam for billionaires and corporations, and now a coverup on behalf of the Trump campaign. Mainers deserve better representation than a politician who’s only concerned with her next election.

Thom Tillis in black and white with red outline.

Thom Tillis

North Carolina | Trump Score: 92.9%

Thom Tillis would love for voters to forget that he cost North Carolina $80 million when he caved to Trump on emergency funding for the president’s vanity project at the border (spoiler alert: we won’t). Now that he’s facing a tough primary challenge, Thom’s poised to keep caving to Trump out of fear the president might turn on him.

Lindsey Graham in black and white with a red outline.

Lindsey Graham

South Carolina | Trump Score: 86.2%

Lindsey Graham is the worst kind of political opportunist. Instead of focusing on the needs of South Carolina, he caters to the needs of Donald Trump exclusively. With Lindsey, it’s party and power over country at every opportunity.

John Cornyn in black and white with a red outline.

John Cornyn

Texas | Trump Score: 94.8%

Texas, or Trump? John Cornyn has made his choice: Donald Trump, all the way. Instead of doing his job for Texans, Cornyn has been spending his time trying to defend Trump and fundraise off of his relationship to the White House.

Ready to talk about how we’re going to win? Here’s our plan.

01.

Build awareness & accountability.

When senators take bad votes or do something else awful, we’ll be in their states to broadcast it and hold them accountable for refusing to listen to constituents. And we’ll keep reminding voters of their stances on the Affordable Care Act, abortion bans, climate change, and all our other top issues. You can vote on where we place our first newspaper ad here.

02.

Boost local political power.

We’ll do the work to get as many people involved in the election as possible, educating folks about what’s at stake, growing the size of our local Indivisible groups, funnelling voters in these nine states directly to their local Indivisible group, and increasing logistical support for their election activities and recruitment efforts through trainings, organizer support, and powerful new tools.

03.

Organize to win.

Our nationwide network of organizers will work directly with groups on the ground to leverage their power with voters, the candidates, and the media to build support for strong progressive challengers.

04.

Get out the vote.

We’ll run a robust GOTV campaign to turn as many people as possible out to the polls. Remember -- these senators thrive on disenfranchisement, so it’s our job to make sure voters show up to kick them out.

Give now to defeat these Republicans and fund our work to take back the Senate.
